LJWG conference 2022 – videos now available

Thank you to all the speakers, conference guests and partner organisations who joined our 2022 conference on June 16th, the first held in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been vital to hear so many perspectives from those working in hepatitis C care, with lived experience, or both.

The conference heard from experts about the barriers and solutions to London becoming the first global city to eliminate hepatitis C, with speakers including Dr Tom Coffey OBE (Health Advisor, Mayor of London) and Dr Monica Desai (UK Health Security Agency). We were joined by almost 100 guests, with more joining us by livestream link.

We also saw videos featuring people who use drugs in London talking about harm reduction and hepatitis C. Hear what they have to say their experience of needle exchanges and stigma; how harm reduction could work better; and the opportunities a peer-based harm reduction service could provide.
