Claire Munro

Claire is the founder and managing director of Dovetail, a healthcare communications agency specialising in collaborative, patient-focused projects. She is Head of Communications for the UK Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Registry and sits on the Scottish IBD Service Improvement Steering Group.

Prior to setting up Dovetail, Claire worked in the pharmaceutical industry, including marketing, business development and PR roles at Aventis and Sanofi. In 2002 she was selected to head up the Aventis VERITY venous thromboembolism (VTE) Registry, an innovative partnership between industry and the NHS. The project improved patient care and made a significant contribution to the Department of Health’s decision to mandate VTE risk assessment on admission to hospitals in England.

Claire co-founded the LJWG with Dee Cunniffe, and has worked as co-facilitator since the group’s inception. She currently leads on strategy and stakeholder development, and coordinates communications activities. The Dovetail team provides secretariat and project implementation support to LJWG.
