Dr Kosh Agarwal
Dr Kosh Agarwal is Consultant Hepatologist and Transplant Physician at the Institute of Liver Studies, King’s College Hospital, London, part of the largest liver transplant program in Europe. He is also Lead for the Viral Hepatitis Service, which is the largest treatment centre for viral hepatitis in the UK.
Dr Agarwal graduated from Newcastle University. His postgraduate training was undertaken in Newcastle with the majority of his clinical and research training at the Regional Liver and Transplant Unit. Prior to his appointment at King’s, he was a Consultant & Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Regional Liver & Transplant Unit in Newcastle.
Dr Agarwal also spent a year at the Division of Liver Diseases, Mount Sinai, New York furthering his viral hepatitis expertise and developing an interest in adult-adult living related and multi-visceral transplantation. His research interests encompass adult liver transplantation, viral hepatitis, HIV-associated liver disease and hepatocellular cancer.
He is an investigator for several ongoing studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of various antiviral treatment regimens for chronic Hepatitis B & C. He is a member of AASLD, EASL, BASL & ILTS.
